Filter Bags - Overview
Filter bags for industrial bag filters are numerous in design and finish. We can usually identify your required filter bag by the bag filter model name and serial number. This is often on a serial plate on the side of the unit.
Many larger dust control system manufacturers will have very similar types of filter bags (or 'filter socks') according to the genre of the filter. For example, DCE (Donaldson) have a series of similar bags which apply to the Unimaster series; UMA 100, 150, 250 and 450 which look like a series of envelopes (see image on left).
However, DCE also created a range of filter systems in a range called Dalamatic.

The Dalamatic Filters have filter bags or filter socks. These filter bags are used very widely across the dust control industry.
Filter cages are usually inserted inside the filter bags to offer support under suction, but this depends on the design of the filter. Measuring the filter bag diameter and length may allow us to identify your need. However, to identify a filter bag absolutely in the absence of a filter make and model, we would require a sketched drawing of the bag itself. You can send this to us via fax on 01858 419 105.
Filter bags for any machine can be ordered in a variety of materials. A standard fabric is polyester. This can be treated to offer a singed or superglaze finish. Additionally, filter bags can be processed in different materials and densities (measured in grammes per square metre). These specialist finishes are suited to application. We can advise on the most cost-effective material which is best for the dust control application.
